명지동 (부산)

명지동(鳴旨洞)은 대한민국 부산광역시 강서구 남부에 위치한 법정동입니다. 2개의 행정동(명지1동, 명지2동)으로 구성되어 있습니다. 명지동은 원래 섬인 명지도에 해당하며, 낙동강 삼각주의 최남단에 위치하고 있습니다.
역사:

• 조선 후기에는 김해군 명지면이었습니다.
• 1978년 부산직할시 북구에 편입되면서 명지동이 되었습니다.
• 1983년 북구 일부가 부산직할시 강서출장소로 독립했습니다.
• 1989년 강서출장소가 강서구로 승격되었습니다.
• 1995년 부산직할시가 부산광역시로 승격되면서 부산광역시 강서구 명지동이 되었습니다.

지명 유래:명지동의 이름은 명지도에서 유래되었습니다. 명지도의 지명 유래에 대해서는 1530년에 편찬된 『신증동국여지승람(新增東國輿地勝覽)』에 다음과 같은 기록이 있습니다. "큰 비나 가뭄이 오거나 큰 바람이 불어오거나 하면 반드시 우는데 그 소리가 어떤 때는 천둥소리, 북소리 혹은 종소리 같기도 하다."
특징:

• 2000년대 초반까지는 논밭과 염전이 대부분이었으나, 명지오션시티와 명지국제신도시 등 신도시 개발이 진행되면서 아파트 단지들이 들어섰습니다.
• 명지오션시티는 2008년부터 아파트 입주가 시작되어 2014년에 완료되었습니다.
• 명지국제신도시는 부산진해경제자유구역의 지구 중 하나로, 지속적인 인구 증가가 예상됩니다.
• 강서구에서 가장 도시화되고 인구가 많은 지역입니다.
• 2025년까지 개발 예정인 명지 지구는 다국적 기업을 위한 비즈니스 단지와 외국 교육/의료 기관을 갖춘 외국인 친화적인 주거 지역을 포함하는 비즈니스 친화적인 국제 도시를 목표로 합니다.

Myeongji-dong (鳴旨洞) is a legal neighborhood located in the southern part of Gangseo-gu, Busan, South Korea. It consists of two administrative neighborhoods: Myeongji 1-dong and Myeongji 2-dong. Myeongji-dong is originally located on Myeongji Island, at the southernmost tip of the Nakdong River Delta.
History:

• During the late Joseon Dynasty, it was Myeongji-myeon, Gimhae-gun.
• In 1978, it was incorporated into Buk-gu, Busan, becoming Myeongji-dong.
• In 1983, part of Buk-gu became independent as Gangseo Branch Office, Busan.
• In 1989, the Gangseo branch office was upgraded to Gangseo-gu.
• In 1995, when Busan became a metropolitan city, it became Myeongji-dong, Gangseo-gu, Busan Metropolitan City.

Origin of the Name:The name of Myeongji-dong originated from Myeongji Island. According to the "Sinjeung Dongguk Yeoji Seungnam" (新增東國輿地勝覽), published in 1530, the origin of the island's name is: "When there is heavy rain, drought, or strong wind, it always cries, and the sound is sometimes like thunder, a drum, or a bell."
Features:

• Until the early 2000s, most of the area consisted of rice paddies and salt fields, but with the development of new towns such as Myeongji Ocean City and Myeongji International New City, apartment complexes were built.
• Apartment occupancy in Myeongji Ocean City began in 2008 and was completed in 2014.
• Myeongji International New City, one of the districts of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone, is expected to see continuous population growth.
• It is the most urbanized and populated area in Gangseo-gu.
• Myeongji District, under development through 2025, has a master plan to create a business-friendly international city by hosting a business complex for multinational companies and an eco-friendly residential area with a foreigner-friendly community with foreign education/medical institutions.
