7. 프리 존 및 독립 사이언톨로지

사이언톨로지 교회의 관할 밖에서 사이언톨로지를 실천하는 사람들을 "프리 조너(Free Zoners)"라고 부른다. 이들은 사이언톨로지 교회의 지도부가 론 허바드의 가르침에서 벗어났다고 믿지만, 허바드에 대한 자신들의 충성심을 주장한다. 사이언톨로지 교회는 프리 존에 대해 적대적이며, 이들을 "다람쥐(squirrels)"라고 부른다.[301]
