"Juju Band" can refer to a few different things:

• Juju, JuJu, or Ju Ju: This was the original name of a rhythm & blues-African-jazz-funk band from Richmond, Virginia, founded in San Francisco in 1971. The band, led by J. Plunky Branch, later evolved into Plunky & Oneness Of Juju, and has continued to perform and record for over 30 years.
• In the early 1970's, Juju, with James "Plunky" Branch as the founder and saxophonist recorded *A Message From Mozambique*, a blend of free jazz and African rhythms, noted for its cosmic jazz sound and strong stance on Black liberation.
• Tola Osumare and the Juju Band: This band performs Juju music in Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and England.
• Juju Band on Apple Music: This refers to a musical artist with songs like "Indoor Sightseeing" and "Too Early to Stroll" available on Apple Music.

Juju is also a genre. Jùjú music is a style of Yoruba popular music from Nigeria, derived from and incorporating traditional Yoruba percussion. Juju music's name comes from the Yoruba word "juju" or "jiju" which means "throwing". Juju began forming when Tunde King introduced percussion instruments like the Juju drum into his music. Juju music is known for complex, interlocking melodies of guitars and a strong rhythmic background usually from several percussion instruments.
