대대로

"대대로"는 두 가지 주요 의미를 가집니다.
1. 부사 (Adverb):

• 의미: 옛날부터 지금까지 여러 세대를 이어서 계속. (Continuously for generations from old times until now.)
• 영어: from generation to generation, from age to age
• 동의어: 대대 (代代)
• 예시:
• 자손 대대로 (from generation to generation)
• 조상 대대로 (from generation to generation)
• 대대로 내려오다 (descend from generation to generation)
• 대대로 물려받다 (inherited from generation to generation)
• 이 이야기는 자손 대대로 전해질 것이다. (This story will be handed down for generations [from generation to generation].)

• 의미: 고구려 12관등(官等) 중의 최고 관직. (The highest official rank among the 12 official ranks of Goguryeo.) 국정을 총괄하는 수상직. (Prime Minister's office in charge of general state affairs).
• 임기: 3년 (3 years term). 귀족회의에서 선거로 선출. (Elected by the aristocratic council). 하지만 현명한 인물 혹은 독재자인 경우에는 연장 가능. (However, the term could be extended in the case of a wise person or dictator.)
• 역할: 평시에는 정치, 외교, 재정 담당. (In peacetime, in charge of politics, diplomacy, and finance.) 비상시에는 군사권력과 정치권력을 함께 가진 막리지(莫離支)가 수상. (In times of emergency, the Makriji, who held both military and political power, became the head.)
