2. 역사

3. 1. 네트워크 카메라

액시스 커뮤니케이션스는 다양한 환경에서 사용할 수 있는 네트워크 카메라를 제조하는 회사이다. PTZ 카메라, 방수 카메라, 열화상 카메라, 질소 가압 카메라, 무선 카메라 등 다양한 종류의 카메라를 제공한다.[40]

3. 1. 1. P-Iris

P-Iris(Precise Iris Control)는 액시스 커뮤니케이션스의 네트워크 카메라에 탑재되는 조리개 제어 방식 중 하나이다. 카메라에 설치된 특수 소프트웨어와 렌즈 내 스테핑 모터를 통해 조리개 개구부를 조정하여 광량, 콘트라스트, 선명도, 해상도 및 피사계 심도를 향상시킨다.[133][134][135] P-Iris는 아이리스 개구부의 위치를 지속적으로 조정하여 화질을 유지하며,[136][137] 이 위치는 F값으로 표시된다. P-Iris에서는 렌즈 성능이 최적화되고 오류가 줄어들도록 조정된다. P-Iris를 통해 카메라에서 서로 다른 거리에 있는 여러 피사체에 동시에 초점을 맞출 수 있다.[136]

고정/배율 렌즈가 탑재된 감시 카메라의 DC 아이리스 제어에서는 카메라 또는 사용자가 이미지 선명도를 최적화하는 데 필요한 아이리스 개구부의 정확한 위치를 알 수 없다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 광학 제품 제조사인 고와와 협력하여 공동 개발했다.[138][139]

매우 밝은 장소에서 아이리스 개구부가 너무 작아지면 회절의 영향으로 소구경 보케가 발생한다.[138][139][140] P-Iris는 이미지 센서의 픽셀 크기가 기존 네트워크 카메라에 비해 더 작은 메가픽셀 및 HDTV 네트워크 카메라에 사용된다. 메가픽셀 및 HDTV 네트워크 카메라는 메가픽셀 이미지 센서(100만 화소 이상)를 사용하지만 픽셀 수는 현저하게 증가하고 있다.[141] 작은 픽셀은 큰 픽셀에 비해 표면이 작아 빛을 많이 모을 수 없다. 따라서 메가픽셀 및 HDTV 네트워크 카메라에서는 이미지 센서에 도달하는 빛의 수준을 정확하게 조정해야 한다.[141] [135][142][143] P-Iris가 탑재된 최초의 제품은 AXIS P1346 네트워크 카메라이다.[135][140]

3. 1. 2. Corridor Format

복도 형식은 계단, 복도, 통로 또는 터널과 같이 폭이 좁은 영역을 감시하기 위한 비디오 감시 형식이다.[144][145] 일반적인 가로형 비디오 감시 형식으로 폭이 좁은 영역을 촬영하면, 촬영 시야의 많은 부분(특히 좌우 양쪽 끝 부분)이 불필요해져 HDTV 네트워크 카메라의 풀 해상도를 활용할 수 없게 된다.[146] 복도 형식은 HDTV 표준 규격의 풀 프레임 레이트와 해상도는 그대로 유지하면서 16:9 종횡비를 9:16으로 변경하여 가로형 이미지를 세로형으로 만들어 이미지를 최대한 활용할 수 있도록 촬영한다. 따라서 복도 형식은 세로형 영상을 생성하여 폭이 좁은 감시 영역을 효율적으로 촬영하며, 가로형 형식에서 발생하는 전형적인 대역폭과 스토리지 낭비를 줄인다.[147]

복도 형식은 두 가지 기능으로 구성된다. 엑시스 카메라를 가로로 설치하고, 고정 돔 카메라의 경우 3축 카메라 각도 조정 기구와 함께 내장된 렌즈를 90° 회전시켜 마운트한다.[148] 그 후 카메라 설정 인터페이스를 사용하여 이미지를 90° 회전시켜 세로형으로 촬영되도록 설정한다.[147] 복도 형식은 오픈 플랫폼 API를 통해 소프트웨어 벤더에서 접근할 수 있다.[149][150]

3. 1. 3. Lightfinder

Lightfinder 기술은 저조도 촬영 환경에서도 컬러 영상을 제공한다. 일반적인 비디오 감시용 카메라는 어두운 곳에서 광량이 일정 수준 이하로 떨어지면 흑백 영상으로 전환되어 색상 정보를 얻을 수 없다.[151][152] Lightfinder 기술은 초고감도 CMOS 이미지 센서와 렌즈, 액시스 커뮤니케이션스 자체 개발 ASIC 칩을 탑재하고, 카메라 내장 소프트웨어가 필터링 및 선명도 수준을 조정하여 이미지를 생성한다.[153] 이러한 칩, 센서, 렌즈의 조합을 통해 저조도 환경에서도 블러와 노이즈를 줄여 컬러 영상을 얻는다.[154] Lightfinder 기술은 건설 현장이나 주차장 등에서 사람이나 차량을 인식하는 용도로 사용된다.[155] Lightfinder 기술을 탑재한 최초의 제품은 AXIS Q1602이다.[150][156]

3. 1. 4. Zipstream

Zipstream은 기존의 H.264 네트워크 인프라 및 비디오 관리 소프트웨어와 호환되며, 네트워크 카메라의 대역폭과 저장 공간 소비를 줄이는 더 효율적인 H.264 구현 방식이다.[157][158] Zipstream은 비디오 스트림을 실시간으로 분석하고 최적화한다. 동적 ROI(관심 영역)와 동적 GOP(사진 그룹)의 개념을 적용하여 비디오 스트림의 비트 전송률을 줄인다.[159][160] 얼굴이나 번호판과 같이 검증에 필요한 세부 사항은 구별되어 화질이 유지되지만, 벽이나 식물과 같은 관련 없는 영역은 대역폭과 저장 공간 소비를 줄이기 위해 스무딩을 통해 화질이 저하된다.[161][162] Zipstream은 또한 PTZ 카메라의 움직임에 자동적으로 적응하여 비디오 스트림의 비트 전송률을 실시간으로 최적화하기 위한 동적 FPS(초당 프레임 수)의 개념을 지원하도록 개선되었다.[163]

2021년 10월, 사이버 보안 연구 회사 노조미 네트웍스(Nozomi Networks)는 모든 액시스 OS 기반 장치에 영향을 미치는 세 가지 취약점(CVE-2021-31986, CVE-2021-31987, CVE-2021-31988)을 발표했다.[65] 이러한 취약점을 악용하려면 공격자는 네트워크 접근 권한과 액시스 장치에 대한 관리자 수준의 접근 권한이 필요하다.[66] 노조미 네트웍스의 발견 일주일 후, 해당 취약점들은 AXIS OS 10.7, AXIS OS 2016 LTS Track 6.50.5.5, AXIS OS 2018 LTS Track 8.40.4.3, AXIS OS 2020 LTS Track 9.80.3.5에서 패치되었다.[66]
