The band members are Nobuki Akiyama (vocals and guitar), Yosuke Shimonaka (guitar), Yotaro Kachi (bass), and Kohei Kamoto (drums). Akiyama, Kachi, and Kamoto were also members of the band Ykiki Beat, which disbanded in 2017.
DYGL is known for connecting the vibes of 1960s rock with the 2000s garage-rock sound of bands like The Strokes. Their debut album, *Say Goodbye to Memory Den* (2017), was produced by Albert Hammond Jr. (guitarist of The Strokes) and Gus Oberg (producer of The Strokes). They followed up with single "Bad Kicks" in 2018, which was recorded in the UK and produced by Rory Attwell.
