군소붙이과

1. 개요

군소붙이과는 두드러진 외투막을 가지며, 내부 껍데기가 퇴화되거나 소실되는 특징을 가진 연체동물 과이다. 일부 종은 멍게를 먹으며, 유생은 플랑크톤 영양형, 난황 영양형 또는 직접 발달형을 보인다. 생식 기관 뒤 오른쪽에 위치한 외부 아가미를 통해 호흡하며, 화학적 방어 수단으로 외투막에서 분비물을 생성하거나 황산을 생성하기도 한다. 최근 분류에 따르면 군소붙이과는 나측류에 속하며, 군소붙이상과에 속하는 유일한 과이다.

2. 특징

군소붙이과는 생식 기관 바로 뒤, 오른쪽에 위치한 외부 아가미를 통해 호흡하며, 이는 등 쪽에 아가미를 가진 갯민달팽이와는 반대되는 특징이다. 이들은 포식자로부터 자신을 보호하기 위해 화학적 방어 수단을 사용하는데, 풍부한 선상 외투막에서 분비물을 생성하며, 심지어 황산을 생성하는 경우도 보고되었다.

2.1. 형태

군소붙이과에 속하는 종들은 두드러진 외투막을 가지며, 내부 껍데기는 축소되거나 성체가 되면서 완전히 소실된다. 일부 성체 종은 멍게를 먹는 것이 관찰되었다. 유생 군소붙이류는 플랑크톤을 먹는 플랑크톤 영양형(planktotrophic), 난황에서 영양분을 얻는 난황 영양형(lecithotrophic), 또는 직접 발달형이 될 수 있다.

3. 분류

2005년 이전에는 유새목에 속했으나, 부셰와 로크루아의 분류(2005)에 따라 나새류의 한 분기군인 나측류 하위의 군소붙이류(나새류의 자매 분기군)에 속하는 유일한 과인 군소상과로 변경되었다.

3.1. 하위 분류

최근까지 군소붙이과는 배순아목(Notaspidea)으로 분류되었다. 그러나 2005년 부쉐와 로크루아의 복족류 분류는 군소붙이과를 나측류의 일부이며, 나새류의 자매군인 군소붙이류(Pleurobranchomorpha)에 속하는 유일한 상과인 군소붙이상과(Pleurobranchoidea)로 분류했다.
