2. 역사

1999년, 기타리스트이자 작곡가인 빌리 하워델과 툴의 보컬리스트인 메이너드 제임스 키넌을 중심으로 어 퍼펙트 서클이 결성되었다.

2000년 데뷔 앨범 ''메르 드 놈(Mer de Noms)''을 발매했다. 2004년에는 대부분 커버 곡으로 채워진 세 번째 앨범 ''eMOTIVe''를 발매한 직후, 일시적으로 활동을 중단했다.
