2. 역사

1950년대 중화인민공화국이 국제적인 인정을 받기 시작하고, 유창한 외국어 구사자에 대한 필요성이 대두되면서 베이징 제2외국어 대학의 역사가 시작되었다.[7][8][9] 1964년 저우언라이 총리의 제안으로 설립된 베이징 제2외국어대학(BISU)은 문학, 경제학, 경영학, 법학 등 다양한 분야를 아우르며 국제적인 시야와 실무 능력을 갖춘 전문가를 양성하는 중요한 거점으로 성장했다. 특히 외교, 관광, 베이징 수도의 비즈니스 분야에서 활약하는 인재들을 배출해왔다. 저우언라이와 천이 부총리는 BISU를 여러 차례 방문했으며, 장쩌민 국가 주석은 BISU 방문 시 비문을 남기는[159] 등 중국 국가 지도자들의 지원을 받아왔다.

2. 1. 설립 배경 (1964-1966)

1964년 저우언라이 총리의 제안으로 베이징 제2외국어학원 설립이 결정되었다.[7][8][9] 저우언라이는 '외국어 교육 7개년 계획'[10][11]을 수립하고, 베이징 제2외국어학원을 설립하여 외국어 전문 인재 양성을 목표로 하였다.[14][15]

1964년 3월, 중국 국무원에 베이징 제2외국어대학교 설립 보고서가 제출되어 승인되었다.[17] 1964년 9월, 첫 번째 학생 646명이 입학하였고,[3] 10월 24일에 개교 기념식이 거행되었다. 초기에는 영어, 프랑스어, 스페인어, 아랍어, 독일어, 일본어 등 6개 외국어 학과와 국가 공무원을 위한 훈련 센터로 구성되었다.[7][34] 천이 부총리 겸 외교부장이 대학교를 시찰하고, 외국어 교육 대학교 운영에 대한 지침 원칙을 제시했다.[3][36] 궈모뤄 중국 과학원 원장이 대학교 이름을 휘호했다.[3]

2. 2. 문화 대혁명 시기 (1966-1976)

1966년 문화 대혁명으로 인해 모든 수업이 중단되었다.[3] 같은 해 7월부터 저우언라이 총리가 베이징 제2외국어학원을 5차례 방문하여 캠퍼스를 시찰하고 학생 및 교직원과 대화했으며, 대학 구내식당에서 학생들과 함께 식사했다.[3] 천이 부총리와 리셴녠 부총리도 지지를 표명하기 위해 캠퍼스를 방문했다.[3]

1968년, 외국 문화 관계 위원회가 폐지되었고, 이후 대학은 외교부에 소속되었다.[3] 1971년 10월, 대학 행정은 베이징 시 정부로 이관되었다.[3] 1973년, 중국 인민 대학이 문화 대혁명 이후 폐쇄되었고, 많은 외국인 학술 교직원이 베이징 제2외국어학원으로 전출되었다.[3][39]

2. 3. 개혁 개방 이후 (1977-현재)

학사 과정에는 영어, 비즈니스 영어, 일본어, 러시아어, 독일어, 프랑스어, 이탈리아어, 스페인어, 포르투갈어, 아랍어, 한국어, 번역·통역, 관광 관리, 마케팅 관리, 회계 관리, 전시회 경제·경영, 호텔 경영, 국제 경제학(제2학사 포함), 무역, 금융, 국제 문화 무역, 중국 언어 문화, 저널리즘, 중국어 교육(외국어), 국제 정치, 국제 문제와 관계, 법률, 중국어(유학생용) 등의 학과가 있다.

2013년부터 스페인어 문학, 독일어 번역, 러시아어 번역, 프랑스어 번역, 호텔 매니지먼트, 회의 전시 등의 학과가 신설되었다.

BISU의 일본어판 홈페이지에 따르면 교원 수는 800명 이상이며, 200명 이상은 고급 직함(부교수 이상)을 보유하고 있다. 다수의 교원은 해외 연수 또는 학위 취득 경험이 있으며, 120명 이상의 겸임 교수와 60명 이상의 외국인 전문가가 있다.[158]

2013년에 베이징 제2외국어 대학교는 경영 및 경제 분야에서 주요 학문 구조 조정을 진행했다. 7월에 관광경영학부가 해체되었고, 관광경영학과와 호텔경영학과가 독립된 학부로 승격되었으며, 마케팅학과와 재무관리학과는 국제경영학부를 형성하기 위해 통합되었고, 이벤트경영학과는 경제통상학부에 통합되었다.[31]

5. 캠퍼스

베이징 제2외국어대학교의 본교는 차오양구에 있으며, 서로 걸어서 이동할 수 있는 3개의 캠퍼스로 구성되어 있다. 주요 교육 시설과 학생 편의 시설이 있으며, 6호선 및 바퉁선과 연결되는 등 대중교통 접근성이 우수하다.
