3. 경력

캐런 스트래스먼은 어린 시절부터 연극에 관심을 가졌고, 20세 무렵 프랑스로 유학하여 심리학을 배우고 국립 고등 연극 학교에 다녔다.^[103][104] Slink FM과의 인터뷰에서 연극이 잘 풀리지 않을 경우를 대비해 심리학을 선택했다고 밝혔다.

프랑스에서 영어를 구사할 수 있는 배우를 찾는 광고를 보고 Studio VO/VF에서 견습 생활을 하며 방언 코치로 훈련받았다. 1년 후, 프랑스 노년 배우들에게 영어 연기를 가르치는 유료 직책을 제안받았다. 아이들을 가르치면서 오디오 카세트를 제작하는 잡지 ''Hi-Kids''를 제작하는 두 여성에게 스카우트되어 성우 일을 시작했다.

이후 프랑스어와 영어 더빙을 했으며, 비디오 게임 성우로도 활동했다.^[3][4] 에어 프랑스, 유로스타, 디즈니랜드 파리의 프랑스어 성우, 루브르 박물관과 오르세 미술관의 오디오 투어에 참여했고, 방언 코치로서 랑콤 광고 작업에도 참여했다.^[5]
