파랄리아 해변은 항구와 부두가 있는 곳이다. 여름 관광 성수기에는 국제 민속 축제가 열린다.

카테리니 기차역은 시내 중심가 외곽에 있으며, 그리스 철도의 주요 노선인 아테네-테살로니키 선이 카테리니를 통과한다. 따라서 카테리니는 라리사 및 테살로니키와 테살로니키 교외 철도 (Proastiakos) 교외 전철로 직접 연결되며,[150][151] 아테네 및 중간 역들과 인터시티 열차 노선으로도 연결된다. 카테리니는 테살로니키 근처에 있어, 테살로니키와 수도 아테네를 잇는 고속도로 및 고대 오도스 가도가 지나는 교통의 요충지로 발전해왔다.

카테리니는 A1 고속도로와 국도 1호선이 통과하며, 이 도로는 에브조이에서 아테네까지 남북으로 뻗어 있다.[147][148][149] 카테리니와 엘라소나 사이는 국도 13호선이 연결한다. 카테리니에서 피에리아의 모든 정착촌까지 1차선 도로가 놓여 있다. KTEL 피에리아[144][145] 역(피에리아 시외 버스 터미널)에서 카테리니를 기점으로 하는 시외버스 노선을 운영하고 있다. 카테리니와 인근 지역 간의 시내버스 노선은 KTEL 카테리니[146]의 시내버스에서 운행하며, 아노 아기오스 이오아니스, 아로나스, 디오, 모스초호리, 올림피아키 악티, 파랄리아, 팔레오 케라미디, 네오 노소코메이오(카테리니 신 종합 병원), 네아 트라페준타, 브론투로 가는 노선이 있다. 이 노선들은 카테리니와 위에 언급된 최종 목적지 사이에 있는 모든 지역을 운행한다.[146]

카테리니 시립 사회 복지 센터[134][135]는 구 카테리니 종합 병원 부지에 위치하며, 유럽 평의회 개발 은행을 통해 받은 이민자 및 난민 기금(MRF) 보조금으로 장비와 자금을 지원받아 취약 계층에게 1차 의료 서비스를 제공한다. 카테리니 시는 자립이 어렵고 가정 지원이 필요한 취약 계층, 노인 및 장애인을 지원하는 사회 복지 프로그램 "헬프 앳 홈(Help at Home)"을 운영하고 있다.[136]
2020년, 카테리니 시는 100KHz–7GHz 주파수 범위의 안테나 기지국에서 방출되는 전자기장 수준을 모니터링하는 이동형(차량 탑재형 주파수 선택적) 측정 스테이션을 확보했으며, 이는 그리스 원자력 위원회(EEAE)에서 운영 및 관리한다.[137][138] 이 스테이션은 고주파 전자기장(EMF) 수준에 대한 대중의 알 권리를 충족시키기 위한 것이다. 결과는 대화형 웹 포털[139] 및 모바일 애플리케이션[140]을 통해 제공된다.
카테리니 시는 지역 유기견 보호소를 운영하고 있다.[141][142][143]
10. 교육
공립 교육 시스템에 따라 카테리니 시의 공립 학교는 유치원,[163][164][165] 초등학교,[163] 중등학교(김나지움, 고등학교 등),[166][167][168][169][170][171][172][173][174] 고등학교 졸업 후 과정,[175][176][177] 고등 교육 기관[178]으로 구성된다. 카테리니 시립 평생 학습 센터(KDVM)는 교육부와 협력한다.[179][180][181]
Lydia Education 사립 회사는 고급 직업 훈련 학교, 육류 전문 학교 등을 운영한다. 비형식 교육 재훈련 프로그램은 프로그램당 380시간으로 구성되며,[182][183][184] 관광부 감독 하에 마케도니아 관광 고급 직업 훈련 실험 학교에서 관광 관련 직업 종사자와 실업자를 위해 운영된다.[185][186][187] 헬레닉 적십자사의 자원봉사자, 구조대 및 인명 구조대 군단의 사마리아인 및 구조대 학교,[188] 카테리니 시립 오데온(음악 교육 음악원)[189], 피에리아 구조대의 교육 프로그램[190]도 운영된다.
2006년부터 2016년까지 교육부의 카테리니 세컨드 찬스 신학교가 운영되었으나,[191] 2016-2017 학년도부터 운영이 중단되었다.[192] 이 학교는 키트로스, 카테리니 및 플라타몬 대도시의 프로실리오에 있는 교회 게스트하우스에 위치한 2년제 공립 교회 평생 학습 기숙 학교였다.[193]
